Ein Zuhause für gelebte Inklusion mitten in Kehl
Vergangenen Freitag wurde das neue Wohnhaus für Menschen mit Behinderung in der Kanzmattstraße in Kehl feierlich eröffnet. Nach 14 Monaten Bauzeit konnten die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner bereits im März aus dem bisherigen Wohnhaus in der Beethovenstraße in ihr neues Zuhause umziehen. Mit der offiziellen Einweihung wurde nun auch öffentlich ein Zeichen für gelebte Inklusion gesetzt. „Die zentrale Lage und die modernen Standards ermöglichen unseren Bewohnerinnen und Bewohnern mehr Teilhabe am gesellschaftlichen Leben“, betonte Frank Stefan, Vorstand der Diakonie Kork.
Der moderne Neubau bietet in vier Wohngruppen insgesamt Platz für 24 Menschen mit Behinderung. Jedes Einzelzimmer ist barrierefrei gestaltet und verfügt über moderne Standards. Großzügige Gemeinschaftsräume und ein geschützter Gartenbereich bieten Raum für Begegnung und Rückzug. Damit erhalten die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner nicht nur ein neues Zuhause, sondern auch mehr Lebensqualität.
Ein besonderes Merkmal des Neubaus ist das integrative Wohnkonzept: Im zweiten Obergeschoss befinden sich sieben weitere Mietwohnungen für den freien Wohnungsmarkt. So entsteht mitten in Kehl ein inklusives Wohnumfeld, in dem Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung gemeinsam leben können.
