Die Diakonie Kork freut sich über eine Förderzusage, die mit der Unterstützung eines Landschaftsarchitekturbüros ermöglicht, ein Klimaanpassungskonzept für die Einrichtung zu erstellen.
Ende letzten Jahres wurde gemeinsam mit den Gärtnerinnen und Gärtnern der Diakonie Kork sowie den Fachplanern eines Landschaftsarchitekturbüros ein Förderantrag gestellt, um eine Anpassung des Campus zu planen. Die Schwerpunkte lagen hierbei auf Beschattung, Versiegelung von Flächen, Förderung der Biodiversität, der Verbesserung der Aufenthaltsqualität an Hitzetagen, sowie dem Umgang mit Bestandsbäumen und weiteren Verbindungswegen auf dem Campus. Dieser Förderantrag wurde nun genehmigt.
In den kommenden Monaten sollen weitere Aktivitäten stattfinden, um mögliche Maßnahmen zu identifizieren.
Diese umfassen unter anderem:
- eine Bestandsaufnahme und Ist-Analyse,
- die Definition möglicher Einzelmaßnahmen an verschiedenen Gebäuden bzw. Einzelflächen des Stammgeländes und
- die Vertiefung in den Bereichen der Zirkuswiese und des Innenhofs der Schule
- sowie weitere Bereiche des Campus aufgrund anstehender baulicher Veränderungen, beispielsweise im Bereich des Sinnesgarten und des Schwesternhauses.
Damit sollen die zum Teil hohen Temperaturen im Sommer auf dem Campus verringert, die natürliche Gestaltung des Campus verbessert und das Wohlbefinden der Mitarbeitenden gesteigert werden.
